Audit process
How a Digital Toolset contract compliance verification engagement moves from scoping call to final working papers.
Why process matters
Contract compliance verification fails when teams jump to ledgers before the agreements are mapped. Our sequence keeps clause language and evidence in the same trail.
Scoping and conflicts
We confirm the contract set, review period, systems, and any relationship that could impair independence. You receive a draft engagement letter with fee range and access requirements.
Document room intake
Executed agreements, amendments, side letters, and payable or receivable extracts are logged. Incomplete files are flagged before fieldwork expands.
Clause mapping
Financial obligations become a control sheet: triggers, amounts, calculation bases, and responsible countersignatories.
Ledger testing
Samples follow the map. Exceptions are investigated with invoices, remittances, and — where needed — interviews with AP or treasury staff.
Factual clearance
Draft findings go to your nominated contacts for correction of fact before the report is finalised.
Report and debrief
You receive the management letter, working papers index, and a live debrief. Follow-on recovery or counsel work is scoped separately if you request it.
Access we usually need
- Read-only extracts from AP/AR or job costing
- PDF contract files with schedules
- Contact details for a single coordinator
We do not require VPN access to production systems when exports are complete and signed off by your IT or finance owner.
