Client stories
Evidence from recent contract compliance verification work — specific agreements, constraints, and what changed after the report.
“The team reconstructed rebate tiers across four warehouse contracts. We recovered credits we had stopped chasing, and the sampling notes made the board pack easy to defend. One reservation: getting subsidiary invoice PDFs into the document room took longer than we promised them.”
— Finance manager, cold-chain operator
“We needed proof that milestone payments on a fit-out agreement matched the architect’s certificates. Digital Toolset’s clause map caught two releases that had been booked early. The tone of the management letter was factual, not theatrical.”
— Project controller, commercial property group
“Payment obligation review on a single overseas supplier cleared a dispute before mediation. They showed where our AP clerk had applied an outdated price list from an expired schedule.”
— Procurement lead, electronics trader
“Useful work on vendor service credits. I would have liked denser coverage of email side agreements; some of those lived outside the official contract PDF and only surfaced mid-review.”
— General counsel, regional services firm
Extended story: logistics rebate season
A Kwai Chung distribution company approached us six weeks before renewing three carrier agreements. Volume rebates had been calculated by the carriers; finance suspected under-crediting on two lanes.
We mapped rebate clauses, rebuilt volumes from shipment extracts, and compared them to credit notes. Findings showed one carrier had applied an obsolete tier table after a mid-year amendment. The client used the working papers in renegotiation and adjusted the renewal schedule. The third carrier’s calculations held; we documented that result so management would not reopen a settled file.
Extended story: construction retainage
A mid-size contractor asked for a payment obligation review on retainage releases across five subcontractor agreements. The constraint was a fragmented job-costing system. We sampled certificates of practical completion against bank remittances and identified retainage still held past the contractual release date on two jobs. The controller used the schedule to authorise releases and tighten the checklist for future projects.
